***New Directions in Queer Studies and Advocacy Symposium***
UT’s OutLaw, Harvey Milk Society and Gender and Sexuality Center have organized a conference entitled “New Directions in Queer Studies and Advocacy Symposium.” For a description of this theme, you can visit our blog spot (http://utexasqtc2010.blogspot.com/) This one-day conference will start on April 1st with a talk by Faisal Alam “Hidden Voices: The Lives of LGBT Muslims” in Main 212. The conference continues the following day (April 2nd) with 4 consecutive panels also in Main 212, each addressing queer studies from different disciplines.
