Austin’s Largest Outdoor St Patrick’s Day Festival 

We’re closing down 4th St and setting up a massive outdoor tent, beer garden and performance area. There’s no better way to kick off your St Patrick’s Day than with a pint of the black stuff and a traditional Irish breakfast. Doors open at 6am. Street Festival starts at noon and for the next 12 glorious hours you’ll enjoy the best line-up of music over two stages, perfect pints and craic that Austin has to offer.

4th St Stage: 
Emerald Exiles kick things off on the 4th Street Stage at 1pm, followed by Sean Orr, Traditional Irish Dancers, Mighty Stef, Traveler, and Mysterious Ways headlining.

HRC has successfully worked to elect fair-minded members of federal and state legislatures and promoted LGBT legislation at the federal and state levels. HRC’s most recent success came when President Obama signed the Matthew Sheppard & James Byrd Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act on October 28th, 2009. I know.  When you think of SXSW you either think a) YES!! Crowds of people, booze, extremely loud music, late nights and craziness…or  b) BOO!! Crowds of drunk people taking over my city and filling it with craziness.

Either way you think about it – I’ve got just the right thing for you!  It’s called bMUSEd Music Fest and it’s an ALL FEMALE music showcase that takes place at Sister’s Edge II on Saturday March 20th!  It’s pretty much an all day event – we’ve got bands playing from 1:30 in the afternoon to 10:30 at night!

Last year bMUSEd Music Fest was a HUGE!  Over 500 ladies showed up to Rainbow Cattle Company to hang out, drink some beers (or red bulls), and listen to GREAT music! 

This year it will be even BIGGER and BETTER!  So, if you’re looking for a music showcase to attend during SXSW where you don’t have to wait in a ridiculously long line for a wrist band and then have to wait even longer for a drink…come down to our neighborhood lesbian bar where everyone’s a friend!

GALA is a lesbian only golf league, which plays monthly at the public courses. While you do not have to be a good player, you do have to have played so that you know course etiquette and how to get around 18 holes. The format is a four person best ball scramble which allows women of all abilities to participate. There are prizes for closest to the pin, longest drive and the team with the least amount of putts. We have a yearly planned party/meeting along with other events after golf, either at the course or at someone’s house. This group is also a good way to meet other golfers who like to play golf.
